"I am really honored to receive this recognition along with all the other National Women of Color award winners. I have learned so much from working in this industry. It is exciting and fast-paced and holds so much promise for our future. Without reservation, I recommend this industry to all of the young women and men I meet,? said Simmons.
"It?s a joy to see one of our employees honored with such distinction ? to be named a 2008 All Stars in Technology Award recipient is something to be celebrated,? said Leif Pedersen, vice president, Global Industry Marketing, Siemens PLM Software.
An initiative of Career Communications Group Inc. (CCG), the National Women of Color Technology Awards Conference is designed to give recognition to some of America's most distinguished women of color in technology and business, aiming to address the under-representation of minority women in technology. It offers encouragement for women to seek careers in engineering and information technology. The awards were created to recognize the significant accomplishments of minority women in the digital world.
