RathGibson (Lincolnshire, IL), has incorporated an in-line U-Bend manufacturing center in their Janesville, WI facility. The RathGibson U-Bend system includes a laser mill, bright annealing, U-Bender, and drawing.

Bright annealing, a heat treatment used to obtain certain desirable metal characteristics, is performed in a controlled environment to prevent releases of toxic emissions. This method of ?green? processing was engineered into the U-Bend system to meet the company?s dedication to utilizing clean initiatives. ?Manufacturing high quality products in a responsible manner is important to RathGibson and our customers,? said Scott Trunkett, Sales Director, Power Generation and Titanium Markets. ?By adding an in-line U-bend
system, we increase efficiency and ensure product quality. By employing environmentally-friendly processing, like bright annealing, we remain true to our commitment to the environment. With RathGibson?s specially-designed U-Bend system, everyone wins.?

RathGibson U-Bend tubing is made for heat exchangers and feedwater heaters used in power generation and a variety of other process industries, including chemical and petrochemical applications. The tubing is manufactured with the same stainless steel and duplex stainless steel alloys utilized in the high-quality straight length and coil tubing for which RathGibson is widely-known in both domestic and international markets. Trunkett added, ?RathGibson U-Bend tubing has quality built into the process. Our production minimizes material handling for high repeatability. This ensures quick processing for fast delivery.?
