Hardinge will showcase the all-new GS 200 MSY and GS 250 MSY Performance multitasking turning centers, as well as Hardinge workholding products and Bridgeport machining centers. GS MSY multi-axis machines were designed and built to offer expanded functionality to address complex parts, resulting in increased throughput and reduced cycle time in a single setup.

They include powerful dual wound spindle motors featuring 30hp (22 kW) on the main spindle and 20 hp (15 kW) on the sub spindle, 10hp (7.5 kW) live tooling with C-axis, Y-axis, and spindle orient as standard equipment. Both the main and sub spindles feature integral wraparound high torque motors designed for optimum thermal stability. An oil jacket around both spindles maintains accurate temperature control through the use of the standard chiller unit, providing minimal thermal growth and consistent machining accuracies. Hardinge GS MSY machines also feature a robust 30 deg one-piece cast iron slant bed base, heavy-duty linear roller guideways, and heavy-duty fixed pre-tensioned double-nut ballscrews to support the toughest of machining applications. The Fanuc 18i control includes Manual Guide i, an advanced shop floor programming system that ensures the process is proven prior to actual machining.
