ESCO Tool offers this air-powered, right angle welding end prep tool that is designed for stainless steel tubes and others with a high percentage of chrome, and fits a ?Dutchman?.
The Esco ?Ground? MILLHOG® is a right angle drive I.D. clamping welding end prep tool for water wall boiler tube panels from ½ in I.D. to 2-1/4 in O.D. by ½ in thick and can fit between tubes having only a 1-1/2 in radial clearance. Ideally suited for end-prepping stainless steel and highly alloyed tubes, it has a rigid wedge-style blade lock system for chatter-free operation, uses TiN coated cutter blades, and can perform any angle of bevel.
Providing self-centering, torque-free operation, the Esco ?Ground? MILLHOG® features a push-pull clamp and release mechanism that disengages easily and has totally sealed construction and can be used in any orientation. Eliminating hand grinding, this pneumatic tool produces clean, consistent end preps, without cutting fluids, to help provide X-ray certifiable welds.
