Workshop Series Teaches How to Improve Products Using Extruded Aluminum

The Extrusion Americas unit of Hydro Aluminum (Linthicum, MD) has launched Extrusion Academy, a half-day technical workshop to help industrial designers, engineers and manufacturers understand the advantages of aluminum extrusions and how best to use them in product development.

The 2 1/2-hour program covers designing extrusion profiles for optimal performance, selecting alloys for specific uses, as well as fabrication techniques. Innovative applications will be shown to illustrate key concepts. The morning workshops will be held in conjunction with design/contract engineering trade shows, and will conclude with a casual lunch and an opportunity to view case examples and informally discuss design issues with Hydro experts.
