Rex-Cut Products, Inc. (Fall River, MA) offers a line of layered flap discs that are designed to blend corner welds on stainless steel architectural railings and grain-in the finish in one-step. Rex-Cut® FUSION? Flap Discs combine a premium coated abrasive layer and a surface conditioning layer into one interleaf disc that can blend corner welds on stainless steel railings and grain-in the finish simultaneously. Eliminating the need for multiple discs, these discs will last up to six times longer than traditional surface conditioning discs, claims the firm.
Available with coarse, medium, and very fine grits in 4-1/2 in and 5 in dia. sizes, Rex-Cut® FUSION? Flap Discs constantly reveal fresh abrasives as they work to rapidly remove material and run smoothly. The 4-1/2 in discs are designed to operate at 2700 to 5000 RPM and the 5 in at 2500 to 4500 RPM. Applications include general stainless steel work and vessel fabrication.
Rex-Cut® FUSION? Flap Discs are priced from $11.95 ea., depending upon size and quantity. Literature and quantity pricing are available upon request.
