The Hardinge Group Teams Up with JTG Daugherty Racing

The Hardinge Group (Elmira, NY) signed on as a sponsor of JTG Daugherty Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series. JTG Daugherty Racing, owned by Tad and Jodi Geschickter along with former NBA All-Star Brad Daugherty, is headquartered in Harrisburg, NC.

According to Jim Langa, Vice President/General Manager of North American Machine Operations, "We?re very excited to be associated with the longest running team in the Nationwide Series. That says a lot for JTG?s long range commitment to the sport and their race fans. Choosing a high-performance Hardinge turning center and a Bridgeport machining center for their machine shop underscores the high level of performance the JTG Daugherty team intends to maintain to be competitive, plus it gives Hardinge the opportunity to demonstrate our machinery to local customers and prospects.?

Two JTG Daugherty Ford Fusion race cars will be on display in the Hardinge booth A-8032 at the IMTS show in September, along with a stock Ford Fusion. The race cars will be painted in matching colors signifying the company?s High-Performance and Performance-series machines; a standard Ford will be painted gray to signify the company?s Standard-series machines. "This will be a great way to present our spectrum of machines to customers and prospects visiting our booth, tying together the performance capabilities of the cars to our machines,? says Paula Ameigh, Director, Marketing & Customer Services. Marcos Ambrose and Kelly Bires will be on hand for autograph signing."
