Dake offers its Power Hammer. Replacement parts for restoring vintage racing cars can be difficult, often impossible to find. J and L Fabricating specializes in vintage race car restorations and trackside support for racers. Louie Shefchik, J and L founder and owner, discovered an economical solution for fabricating one-of-a-kind sheet metal parts on this new Power Hammer.

"I can form fenders, small panels, and one-of-kind sheet metal parts. This Power Hammer costs a fraction of what larger production power hammers and tooling are going for," said Shefchik. This new Power Hammer will stretch, shrink, plannish, dome, jog, bead, and shape sheet metal using standard dies. Capacity is up 16 ga steel and 11 ga aluminum (annealed 3003H14). Hammer speed is 900 spm. The throat is 18 in and the maximum vertical opening is 7 in. For convenience, the Power Hammer is single phase and mounted on a base with wheels for portability. "We supply a lot of equipment to race teams, car and motorcycle customizers, and aircraft fabricators," said Frank Kennedy from Dake. "The Power Hammer is a tool to expand our customer's creativity."
