Sandvik Coromant (Fair Lawn, NJ) features the CoroMill 690, an innovative long-edge cutting tool developed to provide high productivity in 2D profile milling of titanium components. The CoroMill 690 is designed to provide incredible value to manufacturers producing complex titanium components for the aerospace industry.

Highly resistant to axial forces, the CoroMill 690 uses four cutting edges to provide productive and economical machining. Optimized chip flutes reduce chip jamming and each insert pocket contains a threaded coolant hole. The ability to deliver high pressure coolant directly to the cutting edge improves process reliability and eliminates inconsistent performance due to chip build-up.

The CoroMill 690 is ideal for circular interpolation from a pre-drilled hole, square shoulder milling and edging and contouring. To further stabilize performance, the tool integrates Sandvik Coromant?s innovative iLock? interface. This unique design maximizes insert security to offer dependable performance, increased feed rates and longer tool life.

To maximize flexibility, the CoroMill 690 is fully compatible with Coromant Capto® toolholders, allowing the tool to be used in applications with long overhangs and reaches.
