The Mikron HPM 600 HD high performance machining center from GF AgieCharmilles (Lincolnshire, IL) offers dynamic, three-axis milling, high spindle speeds up to 20,000 rpm and exceptional chip removal rates. Designed to meet the highly demanding requirements of the automotive and aerospace industries, the HPM 600's stable and robust construction enables unlimited high performance cutting.

This equipment is built with a one-piece polymer granite base to provide high performance, high precision cutting of materials like alloyed steels and aluminum. The integration of a cost-effective pallet changer allows repetitive machining without interruption in multi-shift operations for increased flexibility and efficiency. The heavily ribbed, cast iron worktable is designed with axially arranged T-slots to ensure simple, manual loading of diverse workpieces.

The machine is equipped with a dual drive in the Y-axis for increased stability. The high dynamics combine with superior spindle technology from StepTec to deliver high quality 3D surfacing results and exceptional chip removal rates. Additional features include two light, waist-high doors that provide free access to the working area, as well as scratchproof windows that allow a clear view of the machining area.

The machining center is equipped with a 60-position integrated tool magazine and a double arm gripper that allows short-tool changes in just two seconds. Users also benefit from the inclusion of the latest generation Heidenhain iTNC 530 digital control system, which offers an Ethernet connection for fast CAM data flow, free contour and parallel programming, advanced high-speed functions and an optional mobile hand wheel that brings you close to the cutting point if required.
