MINIMIZED VIBRATION WITH COROMANT CAPTO DAMPED MILLING ADAPTOR

Sandvik Coromant recently introduced its Coromant Capto Damped Milling Adaptor, a product designed to significantly reduce vibration while milling with extremely long overhangs. The adaptor was specially developed to meet the needs of the die and mold industry. As a result of the product's sophisticated dampening mechanism, any perceptible vibration is virtually eliminated while endmilling or profile milling with overhangs up to seven times diameter. The adaptor is an extension of the CoroMill Modular Cutting Tools program, a system of small CoroMill screw-type cutters and a variety of shanks for demanding die and mold applications. Not only does it achieve excellent surface finish and accuracy, but also improves productivity and increases tool life.
