Weiler Corporation is the leading manufacturer of power and abrasive nylon brushes for cleaning, finishing and deburring applications. Weiler's Nylox® Composite Metal Hub Wheel Brushes (NMX) offer the benefits of composite hub products, as well as the shock resistance and dimensional stability of metal hub brushes. These brushes provide the lowest cost-per-part in production deburring processes and are especially well suited when utilizing robotic or dedicated equipment. Utilizing new technology, the Nylox Composite Metal Hub Brushes offer a 50 percent higher density – the highest in the marketplace – than traditional metal hub brushes. By using the latest polymer technology to retain brush filaments, the need for internal metal components is eliminated. This creates a more densely packed brush, without the need to fold filaments in half. The result is an increase in fatigue resistance and an increase in tool life.

Constructed with a steel shell, these brushes provide increased accuracy and dimensional stability to ensure consistent, efficient performance with minimal vibration during use. Additionally, the brushes are produced with a two-inch bore, which allows for direct mounting on equipment without any need for adapters. NMX technology allows for multi-section stacking, with less variation in assembled brush face density than conventional composite hub brushes. The patent-pending Nylox Composite Metal Hub Wheel Brushes come in either crimped or rectangular filament wheels, both made with silicon carbide. As with all abrasive nylon products, these new wheels work through a filing action that removes burrs by abrasion, not impact. As a result, they need to be run slowly and with modest pressure for optimum results. www.weilerabrasives.com
